All players, coaches and officials are reminded that they are to represent the City of Terrace and Terrace Minor Hockey with the highest standards of behavior at all times. This applies to games at home or when travelling. Certain standards of behavior are always expected.

• It is the responsibility of the Coach and Team management to set the dress standard for each team at the beginning of each season. Dress shirt, tie and clean pants are appropriate dress standards for any Rep or "B" team representing TMHA.

• Any player caught violating team or association rules while on the road may be subject to disciplinary procedures. These consequences may include loss of playing privileges, suspension or as an absolute last resort, being sent home at the parent’s expense. No coach will send an unsupervised minor home from a road trip unless the following steps are taken:

1. The coach will call the players’ parent(s) and discuss the situation with them. If the parent and coach deem it appropriate, the player will be sent home via the most direct means at the parents’ expense.
2. If the parents cannot be reached, the player will be accommodated at the discretion of the coach or manager. Any extra expenses incurred in doing this will be the responsibility of the parents or the player.
3. The 2^nd Vice president or President will be advised immediately of the situation. The coaching staff will submit a written report for submission to the discipline committee upon the teams’ return home.

• Practices are extremely important to all players. Players should not miss practices without the prior consent of the coaching staff. Playing privileges may be revoked for unjustified absences form practice. It is the player’s responsibility to contact the coaches prior to missing any practice. Habitual absence can result in a rep player being reassigned to the house division.

• Players are reminded that they have made a commitment to the hockey team. Any conflicts with other sports or activities should be planned and discussed with the coaching staff as far in advance as possible to prevent misunderstandings.

• Billeting is an effective way to control costs and promotes sportsmanship, but it is not mandatory. When staying in a hotel, the coach or manager must ensure that the players are on their best behavior at all times. Players are responsible for any damages to hotel or motel property that they are responsible for.

• Coaches are reminded that the highest standards must be maintained at all times. 100% care and control must be exercised over your players and coaching staff at all times. Leaving players both poorly supervised or unsupervised is a violation of the coaching code of conduct and may be referred to the discipline committee for review.

Representing Terrace and Terrace Minor Hockey is a privilege that must not be taken lightly. Proper behavior and attitude are essential at all times. Failure to follow these or other guidelines may result in disciplinary actions being taken against the offending person, persons or the entire team up to and including a loss of playing or travelling privileges.
